WFP also sent a vessel from the Kenyan port of Mombasa with some 1,300 metric tonnes of food supplies – enough to feed up to 30,000 people for three months in tsunami-affected areas. To improve access to the hard-hit Hafun peninsula, the agency also organised the first flight in 10 years to the area.
