Abdirizak Osman Samater, 9, was playing on a boat in the sea near the beach when the tsunami struck.

"I saw the water being sucked away and the boat fell. I saw many people on the beach looking at me. I tried to jump out of the boat, but I was scared. Then I saw the water coming back. The boat kept on taking me back and forth for many hours. When it stopped in a shallow place, I ran to join the rest of the people in the hills. Now almost every night I dream of what happened."
