Ali Mahdi said before the beginning of the conference, the NGRC had the sentiment that it would encounter difficulties to sort out the multi-faceted Somali crisis. But thanks Allah the congress crowned with success as the delegates performed their work through Somali way of conflict resolution.

The first stage of the congress was that tribal reconciliation, tribes pardoning each other from past mistakes, and restoration of properties to its original owner.
