Ali Mahdi urged the visiting IAC delegation to offer their good office to bring on-board to all opposition forces whether they are in Asmara or anywhere else. Our doors remain open, he remarked.

Former President asked the visiting delegation to speed up the deployment of AU and UN Peacekeeping forces so as to further maintain the national security.
The congress will also made proposals on Disarmament, Demobilization and Rehabilitation (DDR). These proposals will be sent to the Government and it’s up to them to look other countries or institutions that are ready to help on that regard. “Peace and reconstruction depends on successful completion of DDR”, he said.
Asked about Somali Diaspora representation in the congress, Ali Mahdi replied that his committee invited 100 delegates from the delegates. But so far, he said, we received only 80 and the remaining 20 will come here shortly.
